Roemheld syndrome is a condition where gastrointestinal issues, particularly excessive gas in the stomach or intestines (aerophagia), can lead to various cardiac and respiratory symptoms. These symptoms can include heart palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath, and even arrhythmias. The excessive gas can put pressure on the diaphragm, leading to symptoms that mimic those of heart problems.
